Cheryl A. Rocha Mediation
NH Conflict Resolution Association Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts™Courts are often not in the best position to make decisions about family matters. Mediation eases the difficulty of the Court process. Mediation give parties a chance to talk together about how to resolve matters in a way that addresses both present and future needs. In this informal process, the Mediator listens carefully to all parties to facilitate negotiations with the goal of reaching a mutually acceptable agreement. She helps the parties in exploring options that they may not have otherwise thought about.
A Family Mediator works with the parties in establishing a parenting plan and support issues, when minor children are involved. The mediator also works with the parties towards reaching an equitable agreement for the parties final decree. Such topics that are discussed include the marital home, retirement accounts, other assets and liabilities, real and personal property, tax exemptions and alimony (if applicable).
Cheryl A. Rocha is a Certified Family Mediator and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® who has mediated in excess of 2,100 divorce and parenting cases and is additionally trained in Collaborative Practice.
